オーストラリアで働いていて困ること

そんなに大したことじゃないんだけど、ちょっと「どうしよう？」って思うのが、会社でよく回ってくる寄せ書きのカード。誰かの誕生日とか、誰かが辞める時とか。家族が亡くなったという場合もありうるね。そういう時、とっさに一瞬で書かないといけないことが多いし、みんなが書くカードだから失敗は許されないし。外国人の自分にはなかなか大変なんだよね。

だから、例文を頭にいれておけばいいね。

誕生日の時

Wishing you a great birthday and a memorable year. 
Hoping your birthday brings you many happy reasons to celebrate!
Wishing you the best on your birthday and everything good in the year ahead.
Wishing you a happy birthday and a wonderful year.

誕生日に職場に来てるんだったら、Have a nice day っていうのも皮肉になるかもしれないから、「誕生日からの次の一年もいい年になりますように」というニュアンスを持たせれば上出来。

誰かが辞める時

I'll miss you!
Wishing you all the best.
Good luck in your next chapter.
Thank you for everything and good luck!
Keep in touch!
So sorry you're leaving – you will be missed.
Wherever you're going, they're lucky to have you!
「寂しくなるよ」「連絡してね」ぐらいが無難。ほんとに連絡してくる人は少ないから、安心して書いていいよ😁
